This website brings together the rules for multinational marketing communications, starting with nine major European countries and expanding to thirty worldwide. The 'General' rules that apply to all product categories are under the umbrella icon above, together with the specific rules for six of the most regulation-sensitive sectors. The other sectors will happen in due course. The International rules - the stylised world map icon - apply across borders.
Included are the self-regulatory codes in each country, Regulations and Directives from Brussels, transposing laws from national governments and relevant ‘stand-alone’ legislation. Rules are set out for content (what you can or can’t say) and by channel (where and when and how you can say it). Unless specified otherwise, drafts are initially reviewed by Self-Regulatory Organisations and updated as required. The primary text is in English.
